In the pursuit of learning, endless mistakes are made. This publication is a display of such mistakes, a small but significant collection of 35mm images, getting their namesake from the surprise of rediscovering them, after falling off the shelf edge that they were stored on, and rolling under the bed. Images ‘imperfect’ and ‘bad’, with light leaks and accidental double exposures, representational of the start of learning, turned into a beautiful object.
Reminiscent of the colourful slide film photographs found in family archives, these images became an artist book, embracing the beauty and tactility of the mistakes of the analogue medium.
